Valved air manifolds — split one air pump across several diffusers
A manifold turns one Hakko outlet into two, three, four or more balanced lines. The heavy-duty metal valves let you throttle each diffuser so the deep one and the shallow one get equal air; the plastic and 6/12-way manifolds suit airstones and small diffusers.

Mystic Koi’s take
Always run one more outlet than you need today, and crack the spare valve a hair so the pump never dead-heads. Match the barb to your hose: 3/8" is standard for MEA kits, 1/2" and 5/8" for the bigger Hakkos.

Questions we get about the air manifold
Which barb size for an HK-60L?
The HK-60L outlet takes 5/8" or 1/2" hose; use the SC-58 or SC-12 manifolds, then step down to 3/8" lines at each diffuser if needed.
