Matala Magna-Flow — low-wattage magnetic-drive pumps for small ponds and BioSteps filters
A mag-drive pump has one moving part and sips power, which makes the Magna-Flow the natural match for a BioSteps II, a small water garden or a fountain. The EZ models ship with an EzBio 11 Plus pre-filter already fitted so the impeller stays clean.

Mystic Koi’s take

The science: why head height, not just GPH, decides your pump
A pump’s advertised GPH is measured at zero lift. Every foot of vertical rise (static head) and every fitting or length of pipe (friction head) subtracts flow along the pump curve, so a 4,700 GPH pump feeding a waterfall 10 ft above the pond may deliver well under 4,000 GPH. Size from the flow-at-height row that matches your lift, and keep pipe one size larger than the pump outlet to limit friction losses.
